Dub Delight: Applying Echomania to a single snare produce seriously trippy textures.

With all the sonic firepower REAKTOR has to offer in the sound creation department, it can be easy to forget all of the stunning effects that it includes in addition.

In this tutorial, we’ll explore three useful applications for REAKTOR FX inside MASCHINE. For its part, MASCHINE allows us tremendous flexibility in processing sounds. We can do this at the Sound, Group, and Master level (leaving aside for now all of the cool FX-send options that are at your disposal).

So let’s start with applying REAKTOR FX to individual drum hits in MASCHINE and move on to processing the whole enchilada. On the way, we’ll reacquaint ourselves with the depth and quality of the various effects ensembles hiding in your factory content folders, and get crucial inspiration to continue our exploration down the sonic Yellow Brick Road...

Fantastic again BK! I also find using anima on a drum group adds subtle movement to the beat.

Hey! I have also started using Razor’s vocoder inside Maschine. I’m working on a live setup: I can switch between kits, play pads and still sing triggering the vocoder. I’m looking/working for a setup that Maschine can handle longer vocals with FX?

That is an awesome idea, @margaretharmer:disqus … never thought of it! When you say “longer vocals with FX,” do you mean longer samples or longer FX chains?

I’m working with a singer and we both like to use mics in performances. Our “ideal” setup would be probably ableton with Maschine as VST -but I’m into Logic… Our current setup: the singer’s mic going through guitar rig with a midi console (alias 8 or Akai) and Maschine on the same laptop -not great. We are looking to do live loop vocals and playing back recorded ones, drone vocals and I do a lot of tabla vocals…
